Didier Avril a fait le constat que de nombreux acteurs de l’entreprise disséminent, sans y prêter attention, un sens artistique au cours de leurs différentes fonctions et tâches. Pour ne pas perdre cette matière trop souvent oubliée, il s’est engagé dans une démarche de collecte pour valoriser cette nouvelle matière.
La gestation du projet a été longue, dans un premier temps la restitution de cette énergie est passée par la peinture, mais Didier Avril n’est pas un peintre au sens classique du terme.
Aujourd’hui, les nouveaux moyens numériques lui permettent de se concentrer uniquement sur le langage qu’il crée et d’affirmer son statut de plasticien. Ainsi la plastique des symboles, écritures et flèches qu’il collecte principalement à l’issue de réunions, diaporamas de présentation, gribouillages téléphoniques prennent aujourd’hui une autre dimension. Il a créer une nouvelle écriture qui utilise différentes influences de l’art aborigène au street-art.
Les découpages et fresques présentés à la galerie de Paris présentent les différentes influences de sa production artistique, toutefois, toutes sont caractérisées par un des dénominateur communs : couleurs, joie et mouvement. Le travail de Didier Avril a déjà séduit de nombreux collectionneurs particuliers et entreprises privées, notamment au travers le mécénat d’art en France et à l’étranger.
